It is my pleasure, on behalf of the Board of Directors and all employees of the Specialized Investment Clusters Company, to present to your esteemed assembly the 28th Annual Report. We ask Almighty God to guide us and you in discussing its agenda for the common good.

DEAR SHAREHOLDERS,


It is with great pleasure that I present to you, in this meeting, a summary of the most important activities carried out by the company during the year 2022, which are detailed in the attached annual report.


Over the past few years, despite the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 crisis and its significant impact on economic sectors worldwide—and particularly in our Arab region—the company has remained steadfast in its investments. The management has worked diligently to overcome the crisis, safeguard our assets, strengthen our position, and minimize risks.

In 2022, the company invested in improving its infrastructure, most notably through the completion of a new wastewater treatment plant that complies with international standards. This plant replaced the old facility, which had become unfit for use due to its high maintenance costs, limited capacity, and inability to meet the needs of the city. The cost of the new plant amounted to approximately 550,000 JD.


The company also focused on increasing the value of its assets and maximizing revenues. During 2022, it purchased a leased property of 1,130 m² for 250,000 JD, which had previously been owned by the loan guarantors represented by the Housing Bank.

This investment generates an annual return exceeding 10%. In addition to this acquisition, the company continued expanding horizontally by constructing new additional floors in its buildings, alongside past purchases already reported in earlier annual reports.


For the year 2022, the company achieved net profits after taxes and provisions of 583,206 JD, while shareholders’ equity reached 13,348,728 JD, representing 164% of the company’s paid-up capital.

I pray to Almighty God to protect you, safeguard our country from all harm and disease, and enable the company to soon reach the stage of profit distribution.
